These small one hole zills are both functional, with a clear sweet tone, and decorative, cast in a floral medallion shape with ornate designs over the entire surface. Measuring 2 inches across, and with an expandable elastic finger loop to accommodate a variety of finger shapes and sizes, these are surely a welcome addition to any dancer's possessions. This simple and classic bell design, made of solid brass and wood, is perfect for any use you might think to put it. The sharp pinstripes echoing the softly squared top edge of the bell, the beautifully turned solid wooden handle contrasting gently with the sharpness while complementing the roundness of the body of the bell, and the brass finial as a perfect final touch, make this bell wonderful simply as a display item. At 7.5 inches tall, its moderately small size makes it easy to place just about anywhere, while its still large enough to have a presence of its own. The pure tones of a solid brass bell make this an excellent item with which to call up spiritual energies. This bell also has a mighty voice, making it a wonderful reminder of yesteryear: the days of the single room schoolhouse with the teacher vigorously ringing a handbell out the door, calling the student back from their mid-day breaks; or the sick child ringing a bell to ask its mother or nurse for a glass of water. The brass is not lacquered and will gain a natural patina with time. If this natural antiquing isnt wanted, it can be removed with a simple polish. This bell is hand-crafted, please expect some slight variations from the photographed bell. These variants arent defects but mark the individuality of your piece. This is new, with no problems.

The Bell and Dorje come as a set and is cast in 2 parts. The top part being bronze with the face of the goddess which is the owner of the bell and the bell part made from bell metal. It has a finely worn antiqued appearance The bell represents wisdom and the feminine aspect and the dorje represents the creative, forceful, male energy. During ceremonies, the bell is held in the left hand with the dorje in the palm of your right hand. The Dorje represents the method that grows compassion. The Bell represents Buddha's mind which is wisdom. Each time they are used it is to remind you to practice great compassion wisdom. Bell measure 6" T x 3-1/4" in diameter. Dorje measures 3-3/4" L x 1".
